Born into a Nazarene Pastor’s home, Marvin grew up in the church under the watchful care of a godly father and mother. Rev. John V. Frederick, Marvin’s father, spent more than 60 years ministering the Good News of Jesus as a Pastor, Evangelist, and District Superintendent in North and South Carolina. Marvin’s call into ministry came in his late thirties, so he resigned from his management position with Ice Capades, Inc. and enrolled at Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Marvin earned a dual degree in Pastoral Ministries and Biblical Studies.  

God has blessed Marvin with his wife and ministry partner Beverly. They have been in ministry for the Lord in Memphis, TN, Dover, TN, Waldron, AR, and presently in Heber Springs, AR. Marvin and Beverly give glory to God for allowing them to enter their 26th year of ministry, and both stand firm on God’s promise of Jeremiah 29:11. They celebrate God as they “Enjoy Their Journey Together!”
